Basic conditions and rules for renting a car in Dubai

In case of violation of the above – in this case Hirer will be fully responsible for any damages.
  • Only name of drivers mentioned in the agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle, Owner will charge AED 2000 if the car is driven by unregistered person.
  • Not to sub-let or give possession of the vehicle to third party and use the vehicle for illegal, criminal or for any purpose other than for those the vehicle is intended for. Insurance is not covered in case the vehicle is used for these activities.
  • Hirer is not allowed to drive over 150 km/h, if driver goes over this speed limit he will be warned on the 1st attempt and charged 2000 AED, on the 2nd attempt Owner will turn off the car and the remaining rental period and deposit will not be refunded.
  • Hirer accept all liabilities and pay all fines and other related expenses incurred due to violation of traffic, municipality and local laws.
  • Traffic fines and Salik deposit of AED 2000 (AED 5000 for Luxury cars) will be kept as deposit for 30 days from the date of return.
  • Owner will charge 10% service charges for all Traffic fines.
  • Owner will charge 5 AED for per pass Salik gate.
  • Owner will charge 800 AED for each body damage or scratch on the paint the car as well as car wheels emerged as a result of careless and improper use of the vehicle.
  • To compensate the Owner in case the Hirer violates the terms and conditions of the agreement and causes damage, loss or theft of the vehicle or part of it due to any reason, irrespective of his or driver’s fault, pay, the amount of all resulting loss and expenses of the owner (including but not limited to replacement or recovery costs, repair costs, compensation for reduction in value, fines etc and all loss of revenue)

  • Inform the Owner immediately in case of an accident and get a police report acceptable to the insurance company to handle the insurance claim.
  • The Hirer shall pay the Owner of AED 1500 for the loss incurred in a simple car repair. This amount is payable in all cases where the accident is the fault of the driver or the fault of a third party. If, for any reason, it is not possible to obtain a police report to make an insurance claim, the Hirer will pay for all the costs of repairing the vehicle, damage to third parties, including but not limited to less use.
