UAE is one of the most demanded tourism destinations among Russians
The Association of Tour Operators of the Russian Federation provided information that the UAE is one of the most popular holiday destinations for tourists from our country. The basis for this statement was statistics, according to which over 320 thousand residents of the Russian Federation visited the UAE in nine months of 2021. Other popular destinations among compatriots are Cyprus and Turkey, as well as the Maldives and Egypt. At the same time, sales of expensive tours have increased.
The price of tourist products largely depends on the significantly reduced average depth of booking tours to other countries. It has now been reduced to three weeks, and for advance booking promotions, the reduction has reached sixty days. For this reason, most travel companies lose the ability to long-term advance planning.
There have also been changes in the paying audience in foreign tourism. The number of tourists over 55 has sharply decreased (by almost 80%), while the number of families traveling with children has increased slightly (by 5%). According to ATOR forecasts, a similar situation for foreign tourism will continue in 2022.
Some time ago, the Federal State Statistics Service reported that, in comparison with August 2021, in September the price of vouchers to the UAE increased by 15%. This is due to the lack of rooms in 5 * hotels, as well as the increased demand. This is partly due to the fact that hotels have become open to tourists from the UK, which has led to an increase in demand for cheap rooms, as a result, only rooms of a higher price category remain free. At the same time, the cost of the vouchers themselves (hotel prices, the cost of flights and transportation) remains at the level of 2020.
